Spring 2024 Applied Vision Association meeting

This year our Spring meeting will be held at Loughborough University in Leicestershire on Monday 25th March – everybody is welcome!
Loughborough is a market town in the heart of the East Midlands, about halfway between Leicester and Nottingham and only a short train ride away from London. With great transport links, Loughborough is an easy place to get to. There is accommodation available at the university hotels (https://www.lboro.ac.uk/services/accommodation/short-stay-accommodation/hotels/), with additional accommodation in Loughborough town centre.
The keynote speaker is TBC.
Registration opens at 10am, with the first talk session starting at 11am. The meeting should end around 5:45, with a drinks reception after.
The deadline for abstract submission will be by midnight (UK time) on Friday 1st March, 2024. Details on how to submit will be circulated soon, but please send any questions to: AVAspring2024@gmail.com
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and should cover previously unreported research involving any aspect of vision in humans, animals and machines.Abstracts must be in the standard format for ECVP/Perception.
References should be given in the body of the abstract in full, but without the title. e.g. (Rayner et al, 2001, Vis Res, 41, 943-954) and the abstract word limit is 250. Unless otherwise stated (at the end of the abstract), it will be assumed that the first author will be the presenting author.
Note that no copyright agreement needs to be signed, but it is the author's responsibility to disclose or sort out any conflict of interest or the clearing of any copyright issues that might arise.
Abstracts can be optionally published in the online journal i-Perception, if the appropriate fee (£10) is selected when registering. If you do not wish your abstract to be published, or you are not submitting an abstract, choose the 'registration only' option below.

After registration, you should receive a receipt from Paypal that lists the amount you have paid and that it is for the meeting (check your spam). This is usually sufficient for expenses, but if you require more, or do not receive the receipt, contact us (treasurer@theava.net) telling us the name of the booker, name of the payer and their email address.
