AVA - David Marr Medal

2018 Award - Dr Jenny Bosten, University of Sussex

Every two years, the AVA invites nominations for the David Marr medal, which recognizes the achievements of an outstanding vision scientist in the early part of his or her research career. The award is named in memory of one of the United Kingdom’s most distinguished vision researchers.

The AVA is pleased to announce that

for her pioneering studies of visual perception, particularly in colour vision, as well as individual differences and spatial information processing, using a combination of psychophysical and genetic methods to explore the function and biological basis of the human visual system, the AVA has decided to award the Marr medal for 2018 to Dr Jenny Bosten, a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, University of Sussex.
