THIS INFORMATION IS FOR ALL AVA MEETINGS, SEE THE SPECIFIC CONFERENCE AND THE "CALL" FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.

The Applied Vision Association (AVA) was founded in 1977 in London. The aim is that of promoting research and application in all areas related to vision. The first meeting, in 1977, took place in the headquarters of the British Optical Association in London. Since then, meetings have been held regularly, and in various formats. In more recent years the tradition has been to have a meeting near Easter and one before Christmas. The location of the meetings changes and it has included occasional meetings outside the UK (e.g. the Christmas meeting 2010 was in Paris).

The AVA meetings are open for presentations concerning any aspects of vision and visual perception and their applications.

On this website you will find not only information about the current meeting but also an archive of previous meetings (the Open Conference System was introduced in 2009). More information about the AVA and sources of funding is available here: http://www.theava.net/

The AVA is a registered charity (No: 1049146) based in Britain.
